Temporary Fencing

ZND temporary fence solutions are trusted across construction sites, events, and high-visibility projects where performance and appearance both matter. Our panels are engineered for strength, consistency, and system compatibility—delivering a reliable, professional solution that’s built to handle the demands of the job.

ZND panels are built using SmartWeld technology, which produces welds up to 70% stronger than traditional methods. Each panel is then stress tested and reinforced with corner plates to add durability where it matters most. The result is a panel that holds up to handling, transport, and repeated use in the field.

ZND panels are designed with safety in mind—from strong, consistent welds to anti-climb mesh options that help reduce footholds and handholds. The smooth wire mesh design also minimizes sharp edges and snag points, helping reduce the risk of cuts and injuries during handling and installation. When paired with compatible bases, clamps, and stabilization systems, the result is a secure, reliable fence line that helps protect both installers and the public.

ZND goes beyond the panel to improve how your entire system performs. Our range of compatible accessories is designed to support faster installs, safer handling, and more efficient yard operations. From stillage storage that helps organize and protect inventory to carry handles that reduce strain during setup, every component is built to make day-to-day use easier.

Built for durability and repeated use, ZND systems are designed to require fewer repairs and deliver long-term value over time. Additional options like gates and barbed wire extensions help enhance site security when and where it’s needed.

ZND panels use welded wire mesh, while chain link is woven from interlocking wire. This difference in construction results in a more rigid, consistent panel that maintains its shape over time. Welded mesh fence panels also provide a cleaner, more uniform appearance and can incorporate tighter openings for anti-climb applications. Both options serve as effective perimeter solutions, but ZND systems are designed to deliver consistency, durability, and a more professional presentation across repeated use.

ZND offers two primary types of temporary fence panels: Square-Top (ST) and Round-Top (RT).

Square-Top panels are the standard option, built with a fully welded frame and often reinforced at the corners for added strength. Round-Top panels use a bent-tube design with fewer welded joints, creating a more durable frame that performs well over repeated use.

Both options are available with different mesh configurations, including standard and anti-climb mesh. Anti-climb mesh features a tighter opening that helps reduce handholds and footholds, improving site security.

All ZND panels use welded wire mesh that is securely attached to the frame at every point of contact, delivering consistent strength and long-term durability.

ZND approaches wind stability as a complete system, not just a single component. Depending on site conditions, panels can be paired with stabilizers and weight options, such as Z-Blocks, to improve resistance to wind loads.

The strength and rigidity of the panels themselves also play a role, helping the fence line maintain its structure under pressure. ZND works with customers to determine the right configuration based on site-specific conditions, including layout, exposure, and expected wind loads.

With the proper setup, ZND systems are designed to perform reliably in demanding environments.

ZND offers a range of accessories designed to support installation, security, and day-to-day use. Options include pedestrian and vehicle gates, stabilizers and base weights, and screen or wrap systems for privacy and branding.

Additional components like fence extensions and visibility features can be added based on site needs. For storage and transport, stackable stillages help protect panels and improve handling efficiency. Panels can also be powder coated in custom colors for a more finished look.

It comes down to opening size and security. Standard mesh has a wider spacing and works well for general perimeter control. Anti-climb mesh uses a tighter opening, making it much harder to get a handhold or foothold.

That tighter pattern also adds more wire across the panel, which contributes to overall strength and durability. It’s a good choice for sites where security and controlled access are a bigger priority.

SmartWeld is ZND’s proprietary manufacturing technology that uses an advanced welding process to deliver joints that are significantly stronger than those produced using traditional welding techniques (up to 70% stronger). This improved joint strength is vital because welded points are a natural weakness in metal frames. Stronger welds mean the panel frames are more robust, less likely to break under stress, and therefore, improve both the product’s lifespan and the safety of the installation, especially in high-wind or heavy-use conditions.

Pedestrian Barriers

ZND Pedestrian Barriers, also known as crowd control barriers or metal event barricades, are used to provide effective demarcation and crowd control at events (concerts, sporting events, festivals), construction sites, and public access ways. ZND’s barriers are unique due to their use of SmartWeld technology, which creates joints up to 70% stronger than traditional welds, enhancing product longevity and safety. They are designed for easy setup and stability, often featuring a simple hook and loop connection system and safety features to prevent unauthorized dismantling. Options include barriers with vertical infill tubes or welded mesh and various foot types, including flat feet to reduce tripping hazards.

Safety is a core feature, with ZND barriers having robust tubular steel frames and designed safety features. They undergo rigorous testing to guarantee durability and stability. For areas subject to high wind or heavy footfall, stabilization is critical. ZND offers stabilizing systems, such as Ballast Bags, which can be quickly fitted to the frame (positioned beneath the barrier to eliminate tripping hazards) to significantly improve wind load performance without compromising pedestrian safety. The sturdy frame construction and secure connecting mechanisms also help ensure the barrier line remains intact and upright.

Yes, ZND pedestrian barriers are highly customizable. They come with options like a high-quality galvanized finish that can be powder coated in a specific colour to match corporate branding. Furthermore, they are compatible with custom-printed tube frames with stretch-fabric covers which fit seamlessly alongside the steel railing, offering a prime opportunity to advertise products or services and enhance the overall aesthetic of an event perimeter. Some barrier designs also include a special steel plate allowing for company name and logo branding.

ZND Pedestrian Barriers are primarily used for effective crowd control and demarcation. Their most common applications include: defining queue lines and circulation areas at large events like concerts, festivals, and sporting events; directing the public away from hazards on construction or industrial sites; and creating temporary security perimeters. The robust design, proprietary SmartWeld strength, and unique connecting mechanism make them reliable for high-traffic and challenging environments where public safety is paramount.

ZND barriers often feature a unique hook and loop connection system that is both easy to use and exceptionally secure. Unlike traditional barriers that may require awkward interlocking, this system facilitates quick setup while maintaining high stability. The connection is designed to prevent unauthorised removal, which is a critical safety feature for crowd control at public events, ensuring that the integrity of the barrier line is maintained even under pressure.

Stabilizer Systems

ZND offers a comprehensive range of stabilization products tailored to different needs and products. These include specialized fence stabilizers like the Anchor Block Stabilizer and various wind-load tested stabilizer systems for temporary fencing. The weights, such as Z-Weights, are specifically designed to fit ZND’s products, providing measured, reliable ballast unlike generic sandbags.

ZND provides technical support to ensure the correct stabilization is used. All stabilizer configurations are rigorously subject to wind load testing by qualified engineers, giving customers confidence that they are choosing the appropriate equipment to meet expected wind conditions on their site.

ZND designs its stabilizer systems and base weights, such as Z-Blocks and other stabilizing products, to be compatible across their range of fence panels, including both Square-Top and Round-Top variants. This ensures a uniform and tested solution for securing any ZND temporary fencing installation against wind loads, regardless of the panel’s frame design.

Yes. ZND stabilization options are designed to reduce trip hazards in pedestrian areas. Z-Blocks and Z-Weights maintain a low profile and stay close to the panel base, creating a safer, more controlled footprint than loose sandbags or other ballast.

Wind is the biggest risk to temporary fence and barrier setups. Without proper stabilization, panels can shift, tip, or come down—creating safety risks and exposing your site. ZND stabilizer systems help keep fencing and barriers secure, maintaining a stable perimeter in changing weather conditions.

Systems Accessories

ZND offers a variety of couplers to securely join fence panels. Options include the Standard Fence Coupler, the high-security Lockable Coupler Socket, and various Heavy-Duty (HD) couplers such as the Gripper and Griplock versions. The choice of coupler allows customers to select the right balance of ease-of-use and security for their specific application, ensuring a strong connection that resists unauthorized tampering or removal.

Stillages are dedicated, stackable transport and storage units designed specifically for ZND’s fence panels and barriers. They are important because they protect the inventory from damage during storage and transport, significantly speed up loading and unloading times, and allow for a much more efficient use of storage space. By keeping products organized and protected, stillages extend the working life and professional appearance of the panels.

Yes, ZND provides several accessories to boost security and adjust fence height. These include Barbed Wire Extension Brackets (such as Y-Shape extensions) to deter unauthorized climbing, and Fence Extension Panels to increase the overall height of the perimeter. For general security enhancements, the Anti-Lift Bracket helps prevent panels from being lifted off their bases.

ZND offers a variety of feet and bases designed for different installation environments. Options can include standard thermoplastic or concrete bases for general use, as well as flat feet for pedestrian barriers to minimize tripping in public areas. Additionally, some barriers or accessories may be available with features like replaceable plastic feet to protect surfaces, making them suitable for indoor or sensitive outdoor flooring.

Beyond anti-climb mesh and lockable couplers, ZND offers accessories like Anti-Lift Brackets to secure panels to their tube stands, preventing wind-induced lifting or unauthorized manual removal. They also provide accessories such as Barbed Wire Extension Brackets for heightened security perimeters and various labels for identifying ownership or safety information.
