Wire to Wire Mesh Repair

In this tutorial, we’ll demonstrate how to repair a broken wire section in the mesh of a ZND panel. This type of repair restores the integrity of the mesh and keeps the panel structurally sound.

Step 1 – Safety First:
Wear your PPE — welding jacket, gloves, and helmet — before starting.

Step 2 – Align the Mesh:
Position the broken wire ends so they meet flush. A straight lineup ensures both strength and a clean appearance once the weld is finished.

Step 3 – Tack and Secure:
Begin with a tack weld to hold the wires in place. Then add a second weld on the opposite side of the break.

Step 4 – Complete the Welds:
Work steadily across the break until the wire is fully welded back to the mesh. Smooth, even welds will blend into the panel and strengthen the joint.

Step 5 – Wrap-Up:
Check the repaired section for stability. When properly done, the repair restores both durability and appearance — keeping the panel ready for the toughest site conditions.
